About Danielle
Danielle Cohen is a long-time York Region resident who has built her life and career through independence, resilience, and real-world experience. After moving to Newmarket as a child and later choosing to make Keswick her home, Danielle has developed a deep connection to the community she now calls home.
With over 18 years in real estate and a background in international business and marketing, Danielle has worked across a wide range of situations—from helping clients navigate complex financial decisions to supporting people through some of life’s most difficult transitions, including loss, divorce, and housing instability. Her work has given her firsthand insight into how people actually live, the challenges they face, and how quickly circumstances can change.
Danielle has also led and managed large-scale programs across Ontario, built teams, written sales systems, and organized community events and fundraising initiatives. She brings both business experience and community involvement into everything she does.
Her perspective is shaped not only by her professional experience, but by her personal journey. After the loss of her husband in a tragic accident, Danielle committed to doing the work to grow, understand herself, and better support others. Mental health is not a talking point for her—it is something she has lived and continues to navigate, which has deepened her understanding of people and the importance of accessible support.
Danielle believes strongly in accountability, transparency, and making decisions that reflect the realities of the people affected by them. She is particularly concerned with the rising cost of living, increasing property taxes and fees, and the growing disconnect between residents and the information they need to stay informed. She also advocates for better access to community spaces, including parks and beaches, ensuring that residents can fully enjoy the community they live in.
Known for being direct, practical, and honest, Danielle focuses on real solutions rather than surface-level conversations. She values smart decision-making, financial responsibility, and ensuring that people feel heard, understood, and supported.
