POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: I am an active member of the community through community involvement, volunteer work and social initiatives.
My Vision - Putting People First
When elected, I will:
- Increase Food Accessibility
- Increase community programs for kids and teens
- Revitalize our beaches
- Create a centralized portal for community resources
- Utilize our amenities to their fullest potential
- Demand accountability and transparency in local government
Increasing accessibility of food to residents
- Working with the Georgina Community Food Pantry to increase hours of operation to better accommodate families in need.
- Creating and implementing a system of tiny food pantries across Georgina to offer necessities such as food and toiletries.
- Bringing the community together to execute and maintain the means to achieve food security for all residents by teaming with big and small businesses, institutions, volunteers and families to work together to make sure every single resident has enough food to eat.
Increasing the amount of programs for children
- Introducing a wide variety of free activities for children in the community by teaming up with businesses to sponsor activities.
- Utilizing the amazing natural resources around us such as the lake and hills to benefit children wishing to engage in swimming, skating, skiing, cross country running or mountain biking.
Revitalization of the beaches
- Supporting small businesses by creating the opportunities to benefit from tourism.
- Fast tracking permits to allow food trucks and vendors to sell their goods to beach goers.
- Organizing more winter community events.
Create a centralized portal for community resources
Creating and maintaining an online portal for families to access various services such as resources for mental health, physical health, programming, legal aid and community events.
Utilizing our amenities to their fullest potential
- Increasing awareness and encouraging patronage to our community recreation amenities and institutions.
- Creating more community events to stimulate awareness of our amenities, while supporting small businesses and encouraging community involvement.
Demanding Accountability and Transparency in local government
- Creating forums and opportunities to involve my constituents in the democratic process.
- Providing complete transparency in council meetings and expenditures.
- Serving my ward with honesty and integrity.
